Did someone say NEEDLES?

Maybe you all don't know this but I am terribly afraid of needles, mostly when I have to get them. And well the dreaded day is coming soon.

I am going to Thailand for a month in Dec to visit Kit,when she is done school. I need shots for this trip, and I can only get an appointment 1 week before I leave. Talking about cutting it close! Part of me forgot to book the appointment and the other part of me procrastinated because I don't like needles.

I hate that stuff so much that when I was 21 I had to have my tonsils taken out and I cancelled my sugary. When my mom found out she reschedule it and had to come from NFLD to be here so I would get the sugary. I would've cancelled it again if she didn't have her ticket booked.

I also have a tendency to pass out when I get blood work done, that scares me a little so I'll only get it done if someone can come with me. I guess if there is a good thing about it it is that they give you a sucker when its all done!

Needless to say I am lucky that I have a friend who is also going away and need shots too. We booked our appointment so we can go together, AHHHH............What a sigh of relief.........

Someone else will be there too.

Do you like my New Hair Cut?

Raynie got her hair cut today, she did really well. The lady that cuts her hair wants Rayne to come in a little more often so that they can bond. She said Rayne gets a little silly and it would help if they saw each other more often. So we made another apt for Dec before I go to Thailand, this way she will be all groomed for my friend who is taking care of her. Also because Rayne's hair mats so much we will be able to get a "style" started for her. It was funny the lady was talking to me about Rayne's hair style and apts the same way I talk with my clients,and that

made me laugh.

I had dinner with an Angel.

No I didn't go on a date, nice thought though. This is my cousin Steve Angel (his mom is my dads sister) and his girlfriend Alyssia. Michelle and I took them out for dinner, they were here visiting for a few days from B.C. They are now continuing their road trip ,off to visit mom and dad in Regina. They will then stop by Calgary again on their way home.

A Note From Rayne.

OK guys, now this is my favorite place in the whole world. The off leash dog park not too far from my house.
I like to go here to run and play and meet new friends. I listen well when I am called but I can sometimes play like I'm not listening and run on to the street. I know its dangerous but I say I'm a risk taker. Enjoy looking at the Pictures of my favorite place, I enjoy sharing them with you. And someday if you come and visit me we'll go there together.

I actually LIKE it!

Good Morning,

this is what I awoke to on Monday morning. The view out of my living room window is much more beautiful due to the first snow fall before winter. Yes I said beautiful. Those of you who know me well, know how much I LOVE it when it snows ( do you feel my sarcasm ?)
Funny enough it made me come to this realization......I actually LIKE snow. (Like it not love it.) It's the cold that I really dislike, and because they usually accompany each other I automatically disliked the snow too.
Snow is quite beautiful, especially when it hugs the tree branches and dances along as the wind blows it. I enjoy it so much more when it is wet, because it only lasts a few days and living in Calgary I count on the Chinook for that.
I actually believe I should be living on a tropical island somewhere. If we didn't get the Chinook so frequently in winter then I probably would. Knowing my luck, because I disliked the snow ( due to its company) I would miss it...............................................
Then again probably NOT!

Can You Keep A Secret?

DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO KEEP A SECRET, especially from someone you live with and do everything with? Well I had to do that for a MONTH from Kit. I had SURPRISE going away party for her last weekend. I mailed out 25 invites and a few verbal but all in all 35 people were invited. It was a Thai theme party( as she is off to Thailand) everyone had to bring a Thai dish.
